Ranking in Traditional Tai Chi Chuan for Health

(not as a martial art)

 

Novice

Aim:  Introduce the novice to Tai Chi Chuan via Easy Tai Chi ™ . Lay the foundation of relaxation, letting go of tension and loosening up all joints by the Warm-up. Limbering and Loosening Exercises. Lay the foundation of footwork by teaching stances, transition and footwork. Introduce the concept of circular motion, relaxation and yielding via Easy Tai Chi Push Hands.

 

Beginner

Aim:  Establish a proper foundation in Tai Chi Chuan via correct postures, movements and principles via teaching the Cheng Man Ching Yang Style 37 Posture form and the traditional Yang and Wu Styles of Tai Chi Chuan forms. The modern forms of Beijing24, Beijing48 and International42 do not adhere to the classical Tai Chi Chuan principles because they were created for recreation, art, performance, health, exercise and recreation. Introduce Basic Push Hands.

 

Intermediate

Aim:  Improve performance and understanding of Tai Chi Chuan principles by teaching the Sabre and Sword. Develop internal energy for health and healing via Yang Style Nei Gong 1 for Health and Internal Development.

 

 

Advanced

Aim:  Deepen understanding, enhance flexibility and improve internal energy and power by teaching the Tai Chi Quarter Staff, Tai Chi Staff , Tai Chi Spear and Yang Style Tai Chi Nei Gong 2 for Health and Internal Power Development
