Requirements of new students after the Pasupati,  Levels 1 & 2 &3:

In Bali,  at 6am on the next day after the Pasupati,  all students who have taken the Pasupati to enter into YB Levels 1 or 2 or 3,  are to undergo a 24 hour fasting on white rice and water alone.  Before eating,  students should pray to God (or the deity that they are most attuned with in their belief system) to give nourishment and blessings from the rice.

(“White rice” means only white rice,  and no salt or soya sauce or any additives for enhancing taste.  “Water” means water,  and not juices or soft drinks.  Those on medication, however,  may take their medications).

Then, at any time from 8pm to 12 midnight of that day,  they will perform the mantras and Pranayama for that particular level,  and preceding levels for at least 5 minutes each.  (for example:-  starting from Level 1, then Level 2, and then Level 3)

In the West,  since the lifestyle is so fast and hectic,  we have decided to modify the procedure as:-

1)      Practise the mantra and Pranayama practice IMMEDIATELY during the seminar for at least 10 minutes each,  so that the YB teacher may guide and monitor the new students to ensure they are doing it correctly.  .

2)      No change for fasting  -   ie.   start at 6am the following day,  and ends at 6am the day after.

(However,  if attending a full weekend intensive,   the fasting begins the moment the Pasupati

        is performed,  for 24 hours).

To maintain the power and effectiveness of Yellow Bamboo’s internal energy within for effective use,  students are advised to practise all the mantras for at least 5 minutes daily,  and to practise the YB (Qi Gong like) exercises at least 3 times a week

You will find it is worth it,  as you will be able to call up the power whenever you urgently need it in any emergencies,  such as accidents, attacks, illness, theft, robbery, etc!!!
