     Introduction     Beginner     Intermediate      Advanced       Instructor

 

Introduction  Course
This introduces the student to Arnis, the history of Arnis, characteristics of Arnis, unique characteristics of Arnis normally not found in other martial arts, the 4 Strikes system, introductory stances and footwork....... etc.  Students learn 2 out of the 4 most important parries, and how to apply them in self defense.   Students are taught how to use Single Stick, Double Sticks (single aspect) and Empty Hands (single aspect) in applying what had been learnt

 

Beginner I  Course
Student learn the 8 Strikes system, and the other 2 of the 4 most important parries,  and how to apply these 4 major parries against the 8 Strikes system.  Students are taught how to use Single Stick, Double Sticks (single aspect) and Empty Hands (single aspect) in applying what had been learnt

 

Beginner II  Course
Students are taught how to use Single Stick, Double Sticks (single aspect), Empty Hands, Centro Baston (solo, single aspect) and Susi (solo, single aspect), pocket stick (solo) and knive (solo) in applying what had been learnt.

 

Beginner III  Course
Students are taught how to use Single Stick, Double Sticks (single aspect), Empty Hands, Centro Baston (doble, single aspect) and Susi (doble, single aspect), pocket stick (doble), and kife (doble) in applying what had been learnt.  In addition,  they will learn mixed grips:-  normal with susi, normal with centro, pakal with normal.

 

Intermediate I  Course
Students learn different types of simple strikes and how to apply them in using the 4 major parries.  Students are taught how to use Single Stick, Double Sticks (single aspect), Empty Hands, Centro Baston (single aspect) and Susi (single aspect), pocket stick and knife in applying what had been learnt

 

Intermediate II  Course
Students learn the double aspect of different types of simple and double strikes and how to apply them in using the 4 major parries.  Students are taught how to use Single Stick, Double Sticks (single aspect), Empty Hands, Centro Baston (single aspect) and Susi (single aspect), pocket stick and knife in applying what had been learnt

 

Intermediate III  Course
Student learn basic disarms within the context of the 4 major parries.  Students are taught how to use Single Stick, Double Sticks (single aspect), Empty Hands, Centro Baston (single aspect) and Susi (single aspect), pocket stick and knife in applying what had been learnt

 

Intermediate IV  Course
Students learn advanced disarms and are taught how to apply advanced disarms using Single Stick, Double Sticks (double aspect), Empty Hands, Centro Baston (double aspect) and Susi (double aspect), pocket stick (single & doble) and knife (single & double) in applying what had been learnt.

 

Intermediate V  Course
Students learn the different types of compound and combination strikes and how to apply them within the context of the 4 major parries using Single Stick, Double Sticks (double aspect), Empty Hands, Centro Baston (double aspect) and Susi (double aspect), pocket stick (single & doble) and knife (single & double).

Advanced I  Course
Students learn advance parries, and how to apply the different types of compound counter strikes using the advanced parries.
Students are taught the Single Stick, Double Stick, Empty Hands, pocket sticks, single knife and double knife in applying what had been learnt  Students also learn the 12 Strikes.

 

Advanced  II Course
Students learn  Basic Disarms (stick vs stick), bolo fighting, knife fighting and grappling/wrestling.
Also, empty hands versus stick.

 

Advanced III  Course
Advanced Disarms - various stick, knife, empty hand combinations, sparring, hankerchief, stick locking and Espada Y Daga.
Also, empty hands versus bolo.

 

Instructor - Apprentice Instructor
Qualified to teach Introduction Course and Beginner Course

 

Instructor - Assistant Instructor
Qualified to teach Intermediate I Course

 

Instructor - Junior Instructor
Qualified to teach Intermediate II & III Course
